Wait.didn't that Stalker say something about Bloodsuckers being near where he lost his rifle? FFFFFFUUUUU. I use a bolt to zap an Anomaly and run past it towards the green target icon on my map that says it's where the family rifle is. I hop down what looks like a sort of underpass/tunnel, looting some bandages from the body of some dead guy in a rad suit (which I unfortunately can't take from him). Hey, two mutant birds with one stone! Convenient! The scientist are right near there, and the map icon for the family rifle for that Stalker back at the Bar is right in front of it.
I peer around an outbuilding, and up ahead I can see the tail of the crashed chopper. I stop and smash a crate in what looks like a rusted-out train car sitting in the grass, finding a grenade inside. A few distant red dots appear on my map, but I can't see anyone through New Betsy's scope, and no one seems to be taking potshots at me. My Geiger counter is clicking as rapidly as the AK fire I can hear up ahead as I hop down from the train platform and cross the tracks. Thankfully, it seems to be over now, as there's no more talking as the camera finishes its zooming loop of the battlefield and returns to first-person view.
This is the most redundant argument ever. I never got this far the last time I played Complete, and its been so long since I played vanilla through to the end that I'm not sure if I did this mission and simply forgot it, or missed it on my playthrough.Īnyway, Wolfhound merely reiterates his previous offer, to which Kruglov again threatens to destroy the research results if Wolfhound doesn't back off. You know, I don't remember this mission at all. Kruglov snaps back that if Wolfhound attacks, he'll destroy the data, and Wolfhound will end up with nothing. Wolfhound snarks that he thought "you scientists" were smart enough to make the right choice between handing some documents over to him or leaving in a body bag. So, when we last left our intrepid heroes Lance and New Betsy, they were in the middle of a cut scene where some guy named Kruglov is currently being hassled by some other guy named Wolfhound.
